What is the Academy?
Ottobock South Africa’s Academy consists of a group of highly trained clinical and rehabilitation specialists available to provide you with knowledge, practical information and support that allows you to achieve the best possible outcomes when using Ottobock’s products and solutions.
What is the Academy’s role?
Continuous education is the key to staying clinically relevant in a rapidly evolving marketplace. In order to be on the forefront of the global development curve we aim to support you through education, which includes knowledge and skills development.

All listed seminar fees include:

• Material use and cost for demonstration patients (training specific)

• Certificate / Confirmation of attendance
• CPD points
Charges, Withdrawal and Changes
Bookings are done online and are only confirmed if payment has been received for the specified course.
As a participant you can withdraw your registration free of charge up to 30 calendar days prior to the event. If you withdraw your participation less than 30 calendar days prior to the event or fail to appear, all seminar fees remain payable in full.
It is possible for Ottobock to cancel or postpone seminars for substantial and/or unpredictable reasons at any time prior to the event. In case of cancellation or postponement you will be notified as early as possible, ideally four weeks prior to the event.

Lower Extremity Specialist (CPO)
Eduan graduated with his NDip in Medical Orthotics and Prosthetics in 2006 from Tswane University of Technology. In 2007 he completed his B.Tech degree. He gained valuable private practice experience from 2008-2011. He has been with Ottobock South Africa since 2012, where he currently specializes in lower extremity prosthetics and mechatronics.
Rehabilitation Specialist (OT)
Graduated from the University of Stellenbosch in 2012 as an Occupational Therapist. She completed her community service at Tambo Memorial Hospital in 2013, after which she worked for Department of Education in special needs schools for physically disabled learners. She completed her Basic and Advanced Neuro Developmental Therapy courses in 2015 and 2017. She joined Ottobock South Africa in 2019 as a rehabilitation specialist and currently specialises in prosthetic rehabilitation of upper and lower extremities.
Upper Extremity Specialist (CPO)
Graduated with his NDip in Medical Orthotics & Prosthetics in 2012 from Tswane University of Technology. He has been working for Ottobock South Africa since 2013, where he currently specializes in upper extremity prosthetics and myo-electrics.
Front Office Executive
Obtained a Higher Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Business Management from Amajuba FET College in 2012. Higher Certificate in Adult Basic Education and Training from UNISA in 2018. She is currently in her 2nd year of study at UNISA studying towards a Bachelor of Education Degree in Intermediate Phase. She joined Ottobock South Africa in 2019 as a Front Office Executive where she currently performs reception and admin assistant duties.
